My uncle signed me up at KADA in 2015. I had little motivation, went to class maybe 3 days a week, ate like crap, and wondered why I didn’t see results. I moved to Kansas in November of 2016 and that’s where my fitness journey really began. I was 212 pounds and hated what I saw in the mirror. I changed my diet, worked out 5 days a week, and in June of 2018 when I moved back to Colorado I was down 50 pounds and in better shape at 24 than I was at 18.

I was at KADA for a while from 2015-2016, but never truly bought in to the atmosphere. When I moved back to Colorado in 2018, the first place I wanted to get back to was KADA. My new journey at KADA began with the 6-week challenge. My diet and working out 4-6 days a week has changed my life. KD, Darin, Lindsey, Marco, and now Maria, are single-handedly the greatest coaches and human beings I’ve had the pleasure of being coached by. KADA has changed my life and I don’t plan on looking back.
My favorite lift is the clean and split jerk and my favorite workout is MURPH. My least favorite lift is hands down the snatch (but it is improving!) and anyone in the 5 p.m. class regularly knows I HATE GYMNASTICS DAYS haha but that’s getting better too! My least favorite workout is Fran (that lady is crazy).
My current goals are to just keep growing. I don’t ever want to be content with where I’m at in any aspect of my life. I want to be a better version of myself today than I was yesterday.
Wanting to have a family and be able to play with my kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids is a huge motivator. I want to be able to be someone they look up to. I want to have the energy to be around and enjoy them for a very long time.
CrossFit is hands down my biggest stress reliever. On Sunday’s, I enjoy spending time with my family and just relaxing and unwinding.
I found a lot of healthy meals I liked during the challenge, but my favorite is probably the lettuce wraps with ground turkey and cauliflower rice my mom found on Pinterest!
